It’s great to be back traveling although our means of transportation now is by cruise ship. After Covid took hold in 2020 and there appeared to be no end in sight, we decided to buy a house in Florida. Now that we are able to travel again, we don’t plan to sell our house and start over again. So, this time we will keep the 2-bedroom condo we purchased in Dunedin, Florida and just leave it vacant during our travels. In June we started cruising again with Royal Caribbean.

We started out with about 30% occupancy and we had to fly to the Bahamas in order to cruise. The USA would not allow cruises without having been vaccinated and Florida wouldn’t allow the cruise lines to show proof of vaccination. What a ridiculous battle that was. The cruise lines eventually won out and we were able to cruise from Florida again albeit vaccines required. And to this day, we must have the vaccine and a test before cruising.

We have cruised on 14 cruises since June 26, 2021 including this 11 night transatlantic trip to Southampton, England that we are on now. Once there we will fly to Copehagen for a 7 day trip through Scandinavia and after a short 5 day stopover in Amsterdam, we will head out for a 12 night cruise through Iceland and Ireland. Such an amazing itinerary!

We are so excited to be traveling again even though it is by cruising. We loved our nomad travels, but we decided it as best to have a home base and use cruise ships to get us to our destinations for now. Who knows, we might even add in some land travel along the way. We love the exploring part of our travels and really miss it.

We hope to keep up with posting our travels on the ship, the internet isn’t that great! This will be good practice because we signed up for a 274 night around the world cruise starting December 2023! How amazing is that? I’ll write more about that later.

We have 18 more cruises scheduled between now and the start of that trip. We will be busy.We read and played games most of today and watched a movie called Dating & New York. A cute love story. A relaxing and enjoyable day!
