Malaga, Spain

The beautiful Malaga Beach

Our first stop in Spain after getting through the rough seas, Malaga, Spain. We didn’t do much today. We took a bus to the square and walked to the Orange cellphone store so we could get Chuck set up with some data. The one he purchased will work for most of Europe to include UK.

Shopping Mall was magnificent downtown

We will still use Whatapp for texting and phone calls but he can now get his news. The young lady helping us is taking English lessons so she was happy to test her knowledge on us.

Water fountain at entrance to downtown square

She did pretty good. We then walked to a Duetsche bank which is Bank of America’s partner to obtain some Euros. The ATM has multiple languages, thank goodness!

Flowers lining the streets made the town smell and look gorgeous

Our first 30 day stop will be in Benalmadina, Spain on Monday. Only a couple of days! We’ll drive down from Barcelona and then return the car on Tuesday. We’ll rent one if/when we need one.

the plants/flowers were lined up on the bridge in hanging pots

We stopped at McDonalds for a Coke Zero. €4,50 which is $5 USD for 2. McDonalds isn’t so cheap here. The shopping area reminds me of shopping at Stoney Point in Richmond. It’s blocked off so that only people (no vehicles) are allowed. Oh and there’s construction all over the place here too.

Streets were bustling with lots of people, local and tourists on holiday

Weather is beautiful here. We finally got through the storms. Rumors around the ship that one couple slept with their life jackets on. Poor people!

Just cant get away from the construction!

Having dinner tonight with 3 magnificent ladies we met from Cypress, Texas. Brenda, Kimberly and Kristen. We have really enoyed the trip visiting with them. Hope to meet up with them again when we are in Cypress for our grandson Jacobs graduation next May.

Will be in Alicante Spain tomorrow.

May God bless you always!
Chuck & Lea Ann
