Enjoying dinner at Chops Grille. Don’t we look happy? Yes, we are!

These past 5 days have been amazing. We normally love the sea days anyway, meaning no sight of land whatsoever, but this week has had the most perfect weather, perfect seas and the absolutely wonderful entertainment by Royal Caribbean. We have been sailing with them for years and for us this has been by far the most high-class entertainment we’ve experienced so far.

The view was amazing!

We have had comedians and singers but the most amazing of all has been the concert pianist, Brooks Aehron and the violinist, Laura Ayoub. If you love classical violin, google the Ayoub sisters. It’s absolutely beautiful. Royal Caribbean has started a “cruising with the classics” series in which they will choose a talented and upcoming musician and highlight them on the cruise.

Huge shrimp cocktail for an appetizer.

This ship was the first to start this series and we feel very lucky and blessed to have been on this ship. Its small but it will be on the top of our list due to Royal Caribbean’s style for this cruise.

Steak…

Asparagus and mac & cheese…

The concert pianist played exemplary music such as the Polonaise song by Chopin, a piece by Bach that I cant remember the name, Piano concerto #2 and Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody #2.

warm chocolate cake and ice cream! YUM!

If you’ve seen Bugs bunny playing in concert, you may remember that last one. Click here if you would like to hear it. Royal Caribbean is bringing on this talent of young and upcoming stars as picked by the World College of Music and Brooks Aehron the concert pianist worked as part of that group to bring this talent forward.

Tomorrow I’ll try to post photos of the ship.  There are so many, I’m working on slideshow and hope it works. If not, I’ll just post a few. They have been changing our time forward the last 4 nights getting caught up gradually so that when we arrive in Spain we will be on the right time zone, which is about 8 hours ahead of Eastern timezone. And its killing us. Sure we can sleep late but it’s still hard. Just think of “springing forward” 4 out of 5 nights in a row. The good news is we can catch up during the day.
Royal Caribbeans’ 50th anniversary celebration! LOVED the cake but 2 in one night was a little much sugar!
But Sunday was the most amazing of all. It was majestic. The one day He asks us to set aside to worship Him. I know we should be worshiping Him daily but this Sunday was special for some reason.  We spotted dolphins swimming in the waves, sea turtles eating seaweed that looked like little mushrooms, some sort of sea flies or possibly small flying fish and a small shark. It looked about a foot long but from the 10thfloor but surely it was larger since we were so far up. The seas have been so calm and beautiful the past 5 days but today in particular the deep blue ocean that can be seen for miles and miles around the ship is truly mesmerizing. As the sun set on one side of the ship, a rainbow from a brief shower in a distance caused an amazing colorful rainbow on the other. The clouds all around gave the appearance of purple, pink and white mountains surrounding the water and sun. I’m hoping to portray this experience the best I can as I truly believe God was creating a majestic day and He truly loves this world! I didn’t have my camera with me on this day and for once I sat and enjoyed every moment, He was creating for us to not only see with our eyes but to feel within our soul. It was truly blissful!

Weather and Seas- absolutely perfect!

May God bless you all and may your days be majestic!
