We are arriving is San Juan as we speak and amazingly my sim card from the US is giving us access to the internet. I guess as long as I still have enough GB left on the card, we should be good until we leave St. Thomas tomorrow. Chucks daughter took us to Galveston to the port terminal to board our ship, Vision of the Seas. After giving our bags to the porter, we bid our goodbyes and before Sandra could drive off, she found Chucks cell phone in the front seat. And, that’s not all, she was ready to leave again and Chuck realized his laptop was in the truck. The two things he would probably miss. How am I going to keep up with this guy? It was chilly and windy in Galveston when we left and continued to be windy for the next few days. The temperature has steadily climbed from the low 70s to 82 degrees today. So nice to be back in our shorts again!

Nice Yacht! Look at the stern (back) and you’ll see a helicopter.
I was pretty tired the first day so didn’t do much other than unpack and eat. We were able to unpack 2 of the 4 suitcases and put them in drawers. I can’t tell you how great the packing cubes have been.

All 4 suitcases fit under the bed (nested). I was pleasantly surprised we were able to fit it all.
We packed long sleeves/fall-winter items in some so we were able to leave them in one suitcase and the rest of the cubes just slipped in a drawer or on top of the shelf. So easy and convenient.
Dinner was a lot of fun! We met two brothers and their wives from Northern California. One was heavy into Harleys and ‘toys” as he called them. Another couple from South Texas was at our table as well. As we all opened up and got to know each other, we opened up about our travels. I wonder if we were as amazed as these couples were when we first heard Tom and Jess’s life. I know that we talked about it the entire cruise in April, 2017 and kept going back to find Tom & Jess to find out more. And, here we are today on the journey of a lifetime!

We didnt eat any cake but it sure was pretty.
We decided to get back to our healthy lifestyle. We had become quite lazy in our physical activities and eating all the wrong foods so on day 2 we have started our walking and cutting out all sugar, bread, pasta, carbs etc from our diet. Wish us luck! I have a sweet tooth and its so hard to resist. We are now 4 days in and so far so good.
Easter Sunday had the entire ship covered in chocolate easter eggs, decorations and bunny balloons.

Father O’Donnell held Catholic Mass for Easter. It was really nice.
The most beautiful of all was the Easter Catholic Mass. They had the service (communion and all) in the theater and it was packed. We really enjoyed the service and was pleased that Royal Caribbean brought in a priest so that we could all celebrate the real meaning of Easter. The priest was quite funny too. He had a nice sense of humor.

Back in my happy place! Blue water in my view!
Tonight we relaxed in the hot tub in the solarium. Its decorated in roman pillars and its nice and quiet. We aren’t much into extreme music especially if its loud so this is the perfect place for us.

Found a couple of stowaways on the ship. I’m sure they’ll get off in San Juan as there is no Central Park on this ship.
We haven’t had wifi for 4 days. After catching up on connecting to the outside world, we plan to walk around some areas in old and new San Juan. Whatever is closest to the pier.
What an amazing start to our journey! Its been great so far!
May God bless you all!
