Sail Away!

Serenade of the Seas waiting for us.

The fun is about to begin! We were exhausted from the gala but had an amazing time! Royal treated us like royalty! Our boarding was smooth and coordinated. Much better than normal boarding.

Chuck taking a break before we take the mountain!

Once on board we stopped in our cabin and had the OMG moment after seeing so much luggage in such a small place. It didn’t look like this much at home. Chuck said they had babies on the way.

Brought of magnetic shelving to hold items. I even put some candy and gum in there.
Magnets are great to hang items away off the floor

We found out just how fortunate we were later in the day. Apparently many had damaged or lost luggage. I’m happy!

One shelf hanging from the ceiling for tshirts and my long dresses were too long for the closet plus no room.

We decided to go get breakfast first. They were offering brunch to all the world cruisers to welcome us aboard. Chuck had Chicken and Waffles. I had a hamburger with no bun. Off to a good start in watching carbs. Let’s see how long that lasts! 🫣

Books and writing material for all the adventure’s

Filled up our drink cups with Coke zero and one hour later decided to start tackling the room. With my organized spreadsheet I was hoping it was pretty smooth. If you remember, I hung up all my clothes in hangers and put them in the suitcase. I packed in groups of 5 and put plastic sheets from the cleaners, actually bought at Amazon, around each group and the packed nicely on 1 1/2 suitcases. Was so happy with that decision. Saved a ton of time and my closes are minimally wrinkled. Everything worked out, the majority of the clothes that were in hangers did fit in the tiny closet. I had to hang my long dresses on the wall because the closet rack is too short.

Before our sail away we walked around and watched the Congo line dancing around the ship. I was too tired for that. After this short break we were back in the room to finish unpacking and organizing. Chuck was opening suitcases and I was moving and placing items where they were supposed to go. Those spreadsheets and room measurements worked beautifully.

Made use of just about every cubby hole I could find.

I can’t lie though, we were totally exhausted by the time we were done. We met some friends for dinner and we all looked deflated. Everyone was dragging.

I’m afraid the top of the desk will be a little cluttered. Still a work on progress

The Ultimate Cruise balloon drop was at 10:30 pm. Our room is on floor 9. I walked to the centrum (middle of the ship where all the action is) in my pajamas, took a few pictures and video of the balloons dropping and walked back to the room. I was done for the day!

The shoe organizer is awesome. It’s hanging on the bathroom door and holds a ton of stuff!
All of our clothes! The boxes on top aren’t labeled yet but one is for laundry supplies, others are for hair, makeup , nails, ets.

It was a wonderful day with lots of excitement getting this day started. It’s finally here and we are off!

The beginning of the Congo. Too tired.

Tomorrow is Bahamas. We will be in Royal Caribbeans private island, perfect Day at Cococay

The balloon drop!
Loved this projection in the middle of the ship.

May God bless you always!
