The incredible Panama Canal

Front of bow showing locks closing and water filling. (From our TV)

When the Panama Canal started having drought issues earlier this year we were sure this trip would be canceled. The water was so low through the canal that they are only allowing one ship at a time travel through. That has improved some over the last few months but the long backup of vessels still exists.

Interesting ship

Since we have seen it before we chose not to join the other early birds at 5:30 am to watch the entrance to the first lock. It’s an amazing sight and everyone should experience it at least once. It was Lonnie and Susan’s turn. They truly enjoyed the experience and took some great pictures. So glad they are having a nice time.

We had a relaxing day, me crocheting and Chuck reading. Did some laundry while checking on the scenery through the canal.

Our entertainment in the evening was a magician. He was just ok. Not my favorite but he tried.

Our next stop is Cartegena Columbia in a couple of days.

May God bless you always.
