Ravenna Italy

Wow! Those clouds! And those sailboats!

Today is the end of our 6 day Mediterranean cruise and the beginning of our last cruise until July 23. This one is going to be a Greek island cruise! We will be very busy next week. But expecting rain again every day. I hope it’s like our last rainy days. At least tolerable.

Wonder why no one is on the beach?!?

Ravenna is the port stop for Venice. Italy barred huge ships from using the Giudecca canal to enter Venice’s historic center in July 2021. Totally understand so they can preserve the canal but next week when we are sitting on a bus for hours traveling from Ravenna to Venice, we may be less understanding. We stayed on the ship today due to little interest in exploring Ravenna. However it worked out for the best since it’s cold and pouring rain.

For Mother’s Day Chuck bought me a spa treatment so that’s where I’ve spent some of my day! Loved it. These past two cruises haven’t been the greatest, cruise wise but the ports (aside from the rain) were great. We were told more than 200 kids are due on this next trip. Hopefully their parents are more disciplined on this trip. So the spa and massage was perfect and much needed! Although, I would much rather be around my kids and grandkids today.

Tomorrow we are in Kotor, Montenegro. As long as it’s not pouring rain we will venture out! Stay tuned.

May God bless you always and Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there!

Chuck and Lea Ann
