We arrived in the New Jersey Cruise port and disembarked after another amazing journey. We absolutely love transatlantics, mainly due to the long days at sea. Although, this time it was a pretty rocky ride. We met some amazing people, mostly british since the ship was 80% full of brits! Our best time of the trip was catching up with Graham and Amanda, whom we met in 2019 when we started our world traveling adventures. We had hoped to spend more time together but Covid took care of that. We had a wonderful time with them and can’t wait to visit again.

Our other friend we made last year was Mila, from the Ukraine. Her and Chuck made a bond for a lifetime. She is very sweet and takes good care of you even though shes very worried about her mom and son back home in Ukraine. We pray for their safety daily. She will be going back home next week and hopefully move her family out of Ukraine for awhile or at least until the war is over. We just love her! The best thing about cruising is all the people you meet and obtain as friends for a lifetime.

The Anthem of the Seas is a great ship. It’s a little larger than we like however the benefits are really nice. Especially when its cool outside and you want to throw on your swimsuit and spend time at the pool. The enclosed solarium is heated in the winter and air conditioned in the summer! Its amazing!

The ship has so many eating venues and fun things for any age group. Theres even bumper cars on this ship. My favorite part was the Two70. It is an amazing computerized venue that we just loved!

Our crew on the ship were wonderful. They always greeted us with a smile and bends over backwards to do anything we needed or wanted. We had so many drinks from our priority level that we gave our room stewart 2 beers a day! He was so happy. Apparently they have to pay $2 per bottle so he was excited to receive them. We also gave Mila a couple of cokes every night as well.

We booked an excursion to see New York on our way to the airport, killing 4 hours before arriving at the airport since our flight wasn’t until 7 pm. Airfare has become so outrageously expensive, it’s almost not worth traveling. For this trip, we had to wait until late at night to save over $200 on airfare.

In New York, we were able to get a good taste of what we have never seen. Enough that we wish to come back for a few days and visit. We always said we didnt ever want to go and had no desire to but guess minds can always be changed. We loved the city and will visit again for sure!

We made it to the airport with over 5 hours remaining for our flight. We thought we had some United Club passes but for some reason couldn’t get them located for this trip. It would have been nice since the airports chairs aren’t the best. But, you do what you gotta do and we passed the time with movies and reading.

We made it home around 11 pm and promptly passed out after a few hugs from Pepper my kitty. She sure missed us. She never sleeps with us but on the nights we return, she’s on the bed all night.

We have two weeks at home before we embark on two weeks of the caribbean. This is where we will spend Thanksgiving.

May God bless you always!
