After a very rough 3 days at sea, we are finally in Ponta Delgada, Azores. Such a beautiful place. We were very excited to get out and walk on land. The seas have been 15 foot swells for the last 3 days.
You could hardly walk down the hall and had to hold on to the rails at all times to keep from falling. While in bed, there was no need to roll over, the ship did it for you. We were very happy to get on land for a change. So very thankful we don’t get sea sick!
We walked around Ponta Delgada for a little while. It’s very beautiful and warm. Although it is only 66 degrees, the warm sun felt so good.
The building and churches are very pretty here. So unique. Many restaurants have outdoor eating and such a fun way to socialize.
