| El Arco (The Arch) rock formation where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. |
We arrived in Cabo San Lucas this morning. Such a beautiful place! We were very excited to go on the excursion which was a catamaran ride to see lighthouses and the famous El Arco rock formation. We got up early for breakfast and while eating, the captain came on and paused the transfers to the shore temporarily due to the choppy waters. We were tendering, meaning we had to get on one of the lifeboats to get to shore, and the boats were being beat up by the waves trying to get next to the ship. I believe only one boat full was able to get ashore before they canceled operations altogether. We were disappointed however the ship was anchored right in front of the El Arco!
We had a beautiful view. Our next mission this day was to find out what our room looks like on the world cruise. Yes, this is the ship we will spend 274 nights on next year. After a couple of back-and-forth phone calls, I was able to meet up with the passengers in that room. They were really nice and allowed me in to look around. We are currently in an ocean view which is larger, and we needed to see the smaller inside cabin. And wow, it really is small. So, we will need to rethink our packing and storage abilities for the 9-month cruise. It will have to work; I just need to be more creative!
Before each show in the evenings, we stop for a cup of hot coffee at Starbucks. Well, the coffee keeps me up at night and I have too much trouble sleeping as it is, so I decided to start drinking tea. I asked the young lady if she had decaffeinated tea. She said no but they did have caffeine free.???
May God bless you and keep you safe!
