Sea Day – Relax and Explore Ship Day!

Not that beautiful deep blue of the Atlantic Ocean but still a great view!

This is our first sea day and then busy all week until the last day which is a sea day as well. Since we are in the Baltics, the waters are very smooth. Luckily, we have never had a problem with motion sickness. I’m sure those that do are very happy with this.

Statue of Liberty Sculpture in a different form. Interesting

It is cold though. This ship has an adult only area like all the other ships, called The Solarium. However, this solarium is not enclosed in the comfy heated area like those brand-new ships we have been on lately. Bummer! Oh well we won’t have much time to sit around the ship. Last night we attended the stupidest show we have ever seen. The talent was great! But the skit was stupid!

Adagio Act

Their talent was acrobats and roller skating called an Adagio Act which is defined as acrobatics and counterbalance. In that part, they were very talented and strong, but the skit was horrible. We started to leave but we always try to give them a chance. It felt like we were back in the 1990’s cruise ship entertainment.

Male and Female team – she was very strong.

We feel that maybe Royal Caribbean needs to rethink this one. Wow.Sunrise this morning was at 4:30 am. Yes, you read that correctly and the sunset tonight is scheduled around 9:30 pm. That’s some long days! I’m going to try to get a sunset tonight. It should be pretty up here with the beautiful clouds.

She also had great balance!

We woke up at 10:30 this morning and was almost late for breakfast. Made it just in time. The views are so beautiful sitting in the back having coffee. We usually stay until they kick us out to get ready for the lunch crew. So peaceful and calming. While looking at our calendar and our expense account on the ship, we noticed another excursion was canceled in Helsinki. It was the ice bar excursion that we could have a drink in a glass made of ice. Apparently, the owner passed away suddenly.

Cool looking car and an actual telephone booth used in London

So, we had to sit down and think about where we wanted to go and found one that has some beautiful churches and tea with some locals in their home. There was one full day trip to the countryside to a horse breeding farm, but we decided since we would be back while on the world cruise that we can see it then. We’ll be back here in August 2024 and the weather will be a balmy 65-80 degrees! YES!

We topped the night off with a beautiful sunset over the Baltic sea seen outside our balcony!

Hopefully the ice bar will still be standing. This ship is much older, and the style shows it. It really needs some upgrading but guess now is really not the right time financially for Royal Caribbean. We think they are putting all their money into the new ships. We walked around the ship to explore since we haven’t been on this one before. We will go outside at another time. 28 degrees is just not my kind of weather. Tomorrow is our first of two days in Stockholm. Can’t wait!

May God bless you and keep you safe.
