Ponte Delgado Azores. We've arrived!

The fog cleared up just as we were leaving so I took this real quick! Such a beautiful town

The Azores are just beautiful. We have been here before but its nice to see it again. Our last trip here was in 2019 when we started our around the world nomadic lifestyle that we sure do miss!

Water fountain Ponte Delgado, Sao Miguel Island, Azores

All the excursions on this cruise were booked so we will just walk around town. However, our next two cruises will be amazing! We’ve booked several places to go! The temperature today is around 72 degrees Fahrenheit. Totally unexpected.

I love the sailboats!

I had a sweatshirt on and was burning up! But, it was nice to be outside again. We watched some locals out swimming and diving and perused the shops. Today is Sunday, Mothers day as well so not many shops are open. And we are the only ship here.

The volcanic formed hills are covered in low hanging clouds so its hard to see the beauty up close. The last trip we made here, the Sao Miguel lake, formed by two lakes, one green and one blue, we visited but was so fogged in we didn’t see much at all.

He hates when I take his picture!

Same story today except the excursion was booked up. Guess the ones that were able to book the excursion saw what we did back in 2019. Not much! As we walked around we reminisced back to 2019 and laughed at some of our struggles in learning to navigate in a foreign country.

Sweet Working horses

We saw some beautiful boats in the water. Tonight we have a comedian and another time change with two days at sea until we reach Cherbourg, France. We have missed breakfast two days in a row due to oversleeping. Guess we will miss another. I think we have two more changes. Ugghh…

A nice marble sundial out near the water.

Happy Mothers Day to all the mom’s out there! May God bless and keep you safe!
