Time changes are a bear!

The love of my life with his batman glasses! 🙂

The time change has really taken a toll on us! We normally don’t have any issues with the time changing but it has been 3 years since we have been through it. With losing an hour every night for 3 nights in a row and the strobing lights at the shows, I’ve had a good-sized migraine for a few days. Chuck has been dragging around too. Guess age is catching up with us. England is 5 hours ahead of Florida, so we have 2 more nights of change. But tonight, we get a break since we are arriving in Ponte Delgada, Azores tomorrow. It’ll be nice to get out and walk around even though the temperatures will be cool at 64 degrees Fahrenheit.

This swing was so cute in the Solarium. They say it lights up at night. We’ll have to check it out.

All the excursions on this ship were booked by the time I looked at them so we will just stroll around the port area and maybe we will see something amazing. We have stopped at the Azores on April 30, 2019. This was the start of our original world tour that was shut down by Covid 11 months later. In looking back at that post in the blog we toured a pineapple growing and production plant. I wonder how that business is going? I noticed it wasn’t an available tour on this trip. Maybe it is too cold? Hopefully it wasn’t another one of those small businesses that failed due to covid.

The Volcano

We saw a whale today. It was small but was trying its best to keep up with the moving ship. No pictures but it was nice to watch nature in its environment. As we are getting close to land we also came across a volcano. Not sure which one it is though. I tried to find it on our maps but no such luck. This lady came running down the hallways telling everyone outside at the volcano. Guess she hasn’t seen one before.

Sunsets in the ocean are always beautiful

Tonight, we had a great show with Ryan Molloy, star of Broadway and the original Frankie Valli in the London production of the award-winning musical “Jersey Boys presents: Frankie and the Dreamers”.

Frankie Valli and the Dreamers

We have seen this particular group perform in Richmond, Virginia our former home of 17 years. They were just as good as they were the last time we saw them. Although Ryan is the original Frankie, the Jersey boys have changed out since we saw them. They were pretty young in tonight’s performance. This Ryan Molloy has done over 5000 shows and his voice still sounds great!

More tomorrow after our visit to the island!

May God bless you and keep you safe.
