Several artwork around the ship. This one is interactive. You stand or move in front of it and the tiles change position.
We are out to sea today, our first of many before arriving in Ponte Delgado on May 13th. We are still recovering from the Wedding weekend of David and Lindsey. We spent much of today relaxing, sleeping, and exploring the ship. It’s 54 degrees outside, windy, wet, and cold so no activities outdoors. However, we found on this ship that the adults’ swimming and hot tub area is heated! That’s great so we can swim, spend time in the hot tub or read and play our card games despite the gloomy weather. We also found that the middle pool and play area for kids isn’t necessarily heated but there is a glass enclosed roof for this type of weather and its acceptable for those that want to swim and play. The other pool was outside and not enclosed and was closed due to the weather. The wind is blowing so hard that it’s whistling. The seas aren’t bad or at least we haven’t noticed anything. We have been very blessed with our ability to not get seasick.

Each floor, on both sides of the ship have different artwork in the halls by the stairs. Some very unique ons.
Entertainment on the ship during the 11 days is set up to be stellar. We have something different every night. We always wondered how they would be able to keep everyone entertained without repeating performances. We have Spectra’s Cabaret in the Two70. I’ll take photos and try to explain. It’s very different and unbelievable entertainment in an unbelievable staging area. It’s a huge production.

Other artwork is in the middle of the venue. This one is by a restaurant.
We are also looking forward to the 2-hour production of We will Rock You with many Queen tunes. Tonight, we had a magician, Ed Alonzo. If you’ve watched Saved by the Bell, he was the owner of the diner. He also appeared on Full House, How I met your mother and Modern Family. He was entertaining for the kids. We were impressed that they are allowing individuals to be up on stage now. Another sign that things are returning to a new normal. For now, at least.

Some art are sitting in cubby holes around various parts of the ship.
There are several “included” restaurants on the ship. We stuck with the buffet for breakfast and dinner. Our lunch was at a sandwich area. I had soup and Chuck had some chips. We are still sticking to our lunch fasting for the most part. Typically, just a snack of some sort. The key is to keep it healthy.

Another type of artwork. This one flows into different designs. Mesmering.
Tonight, our clocks move forward an hour. One night of many to get us acclimated to European time zone. Its so much better than flying over and having a horrible day of jet lag as we will when we return to Florida at the end of our three-cruise trip in the upper north countries. Ciao for now!
May God bless and keep you safe always!
