Wedding Day!

David and Lindsey saying their vows

Today was a joyous day for my son David and his bride, Lindsey. Their story actually began when Lindsey needed help with her kids at Great Wolf Lodge and while chatting with David through social media he quickly said he would be there. They spent hours talking during the day/evening while the kids enjoyed their play day.

It’s been a long time since I put a boutonniere on anyone. Took a little time.

Lindsey’s dad told me at the wedding that she called him and said she found her knight in shining armor! How sweet is that. They were together 3 years, through the pandemic, before deciding it was the right time for them to be married and join their family of 2 boys and 2 girls together as a family. I am so proud of them both.

The wedding day was hectic and busy and even rained a little. But God stopped the rain just as the ceremony was to begin and it was just beautiful. Around 80+ friends and family joined in the wedding festivities that began at 5 pm and they were sent away under glow sticks at 10:30 pm.

The first look!

I will never forget this day that my son married the woman of his dreams. Both he and Lindsey have been through a lot over the year and deserve so much happiness.

As they start their dreams, we will continue ours. We have been on 13 cruises mostly around the Caribbean and one in Alaska since June when the cruise industry opened up from a complete shut down for 18 months due to this horrifying pandemic. We couldn’t decide who was happier, us or the cruise staff.

The excited family. David, Lindsey, Maverick, Maddox, Ava and Maxton

This trip will involve 3 cruises and a short stay in Amsterdam Netherlands. Although it will be much cooler than we are accustomed to back in Florida, we are looking forward to experiencing something new.

Chuck and I before the wedding

We both really miss our travels that Covid shut down for us back in March 2020. We bought a home in Dunedin Florida and decided that our new traveling will be by cruise ship instead of traveling on our own.

David and his best man and best friend from school (year ago!) Ricky.
We will miss the original nomadic style we had planned but thankful God has kept us safe from the virus (so far) and has allowed us to begin traveling again. We are truly blessed in so many ways.
Sealing the deal with a kiss!

Our itinerary for the next 40 days is below. I hope to be able to keep the blog updated frequently with the challenges of internet on the ship so bear with me when we have issues.
