It is famous for the largest convict-built prison in Australia. Guess the prisoners were excited about designing and building their own home? NOT! Freemantle also supports the arts and wine industry. Freo is Australian slang for Freemantle and is at the fishing and boating pier and is very popular with locals as a night out for dining and entertainment.

Hopefully it will not be a pandemic since they are fighting hard against it. We hope it doesn’t spoil our plans but if it does, we’ll just change and come back when it’s safe.
