3rd times a charm! Good news today! (we hope!)

Still in Dubai

We have never been so glad a cruise is over! The children on this cruise and many of the adults were just unkind and unruly! We are excited about this next trip. This is the 3rd back to back cruise and the last cruise before we make our way to the hotel after 7 days. We will spend the Christmas holidays on this cruise and very excited to have some new ports of call.

Helipad on the ship

We will visit Qatar and Bahrain on this 7 day trip and hopefully if the weather is as beautiful as it is today, we’ll be able to visit Sir Bani Yas. The weather was too bad last week and the ship captain canceled the trip. It was pretty rocky!!

We have walked through security and now have our new room keys but waiting for 1 pm so we can access our room. We are sitting in a nice peaceful location at the bow of the ship, soaking up the sun and catching up on email, blogging, etc… Now, for the good news (we hope)….. for some reason I decided to check to see if the hotspot on my phone would actually work, assuming I was wasting my time and nothing else to do. When we switched over to Google Fi for all our international data and phone, we were so disappointed to find out that the hotspot feature wasn’t functioning on the iPhones.

More Christmas decorations. The head chef is from New York. He and Chuck talk a lot!

The hotspot feature is a critical element in our lives because we cant connect our laptops or iPads to the internet for anything including security updates that are needed and more importantly updating my blog! We rely heavily on our VPN to keep our data secure in all these countries we are visiting. I have no idea why all of a sudden it is working but I’m beyond excited! A great, unexpected Christmas present for sure!

On our way back out on our 3rd cruise in a row!

The amount of connectivity may still rely on the country but here in Dubai, it has a good, strong signal! We may or may not go ashore now that we don’t need to access the wireless at the cruise terminal. But, I do need to get my keychain and postcard. It’ll be easier this week. Next week we’ll be getting a cab to find our hotel until 1/2/2020. Wow, hard to believe that in less than 2 weeks, a new year is starting. 2019 has been amazing and I continue to thank God daily for all the blessings he has bestowed on us. We are truly blessed.

May God bless you all and have a Very Merry Christmas week!
