| Doesn’t look too rough but we could feel the waves rolling our ship. |
Today we were supposed to stop in Sir Bani Yas but due to the high seas and bad weather, the captain canceled the stop. After feeling the boat rocking, we were glad the captain made his decision. This island requires us to use a tender dock, meaning we are put into one of the lifeboats and taken to the island because the ship is too big to dock at the island itself. It is a small island with beaches and lots of fun things to do for kids and some adults. We are told the white sandy beaches are beautiful. It was kind of disappointing, but we understand, and we will have another opportunity to visit again since we’ll be on-board another week.
We are now headed directly to Muscat, Oman, getting there a ½ day early so we’ll hopefully have some sunshine to soak in! Today, we’ll just rest more and try to kick this bad cough and congestion to the curb! This is what they call a sea day meaning no stops, just water everywhere. We love these days of soaking up the sun and laying by the pool. Thank goodness there is an area that’s more quiet for adults to swim and enjoy the hot tub. We’ll enjoy some reading and probably lots of sleeping.
Looking forward to Muscat. I’m sure it’ll have some interesting sights and more pictures. Not much for today. We know we’ll have the daily prayers to listen to. Just wonder how different they will be.
May God bless you always!
