I almost forgot to post our budget vs. actual from Morocco. We did so much better, making up for many of the months we went over budget. We spent about $829 USD less than we budgeted. Thats about $82 per day for 40 days.

Amazing pianist, Brooks Aehron. we have seen him on a previous ship and so thrilled to be able to hear him again.

We did great and are very pleased in how it turned out.

As I mentioned earlier, the ship we are currently on is the Jewel of the Seas with Royal Caribbean. We pretty much have stuck with RCI for a couple of reasons. First it was to get the perks everyone talks about at diamond level.

Eunsley Park an award winning violist rising star. So very beautiful. You are mesmerized by her music.

Well, they are OK but are much better at diamond plus. We will get 48 hours of Internet access each, 1 free photo each, one free bag of laundry each and 3 free soda’s or alcoholic drinks nightly each. This will probably keep us coming back after we reach that level.

Francois Boire – amazing juggler that could juggle up to 7 pins at one time.

Right now, we get 24 hours Internet, 1 bag of laundry for $25 (small bags) but the same drink package. In February, our status will change so those extra perks will be very helpful. We have been on multiple ships and in regards to the small ships, we really love this one. It has just enough room and only 2000 people. For me, I prefer the mid-size ship because they have more shops and stuff to do inside the promenade and holds about 3500 people.

Gareth Oliver a ventriloquist and so funny. He had a great way of engaging the audience and teaching us his talent of “throwing” your voice.

The larger ships which hold around 5000 people are very big and crowded but have lots to do. They are fun but we like these smaller ships since it seems a bit more cozy.  We have met many people around the ship from all areas of the world. When we tell them what we are doing, they are amazed, as we were the first time we heard it. We met one young family with two young children that sold everything and are traveling the world as well.

Tango Buenos Aires performed by the Royal Caribbean dancers and singers. A great performance.

They create an Instagram blog and its great with the children.

Its Christmas time so the trees are up and the lights are flickering. Christmas music is everywhere. The one thing I’m disappointed in is there is no music about the real reason for Christmas. For now, it’s just Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer or Silver bells, Here comes Santa Claus, etc.

They were doing the tango behind a red curtain making a silhouette.

I keep listening and hopefully I am wrong. Let’s hope that changes closer to Christmas. The entertainment hasn’t disappointed us though. Royal Caribbean has always done a great job in entertaining its guests. Chuck’s favorite is the band but our favorite on this cruise is a violinist and a pianist who can keep you mesmerized for hours. They were on our last cruise and were phenomenal. We love to watch and hear their magic.

And of course, we have dinner in a formal dining room almost every night with the tables set up as our mom’s would have with white linen tablecloths and napkins; waiters in suits serving our meals with a smile. We love the feel of the ship’s atmosphere as they take care of all your needs.

Chuck & I want to wish all of you a Merry CHRISTmas season and can’t wait until Christmas arrives!

May God bless you always.

Chuck & Lea Ann
