Santa Cruz, Tenerife Beach
It’s getting really windy here and cooling off a little. Still nice and warm in the mid 70’s/F. but if the sun isn’t out, its bearable. Just not the type of weather you want to bask in the sun with. Chuck has been wanting to drive up the mountain through the windy curvy roads so we decided to see what the mountain had to offer.

Colorful houses stacked on the mountainside
The roads were very winding and curvy and if you were prone to sea sickness, that could easily happen. But, my white knuckles on the door were very visible. I kept telling Chuck to slow down. I know he gets irritated but you go around a corner and you cant see whats on the other side! Men and their toys.

Of course this little car has a hard time with providing any power at low speeds so he tries to keep it up above 2nd gear. When we made it to the top, we got out with all the other tourists and took photos.

Looking down from the top of the mountain
Such an amazing view but wow, was it windy. I had a hard time holding my camera still but was still able to get some good photos. We then made our way down the other side of the windy path and we could see this beautiful black beach from far up.

More houses stacked up the mountain
So, we found it and got out of the car. While walking to the beach Chuck said, I think this is a nude beach. I looked over and saw a woman topless. Nothing new there, they are topless on the other beaches but when I rounded the corner there was a guy making laps on the beach, stark naked! I was like, OH! OK!.

Black sand “nudist” beach!
So I took pictures in the other direction until he turned around to walk the other way. Then I walked down to the beach. Almost everyone was naked or close to naked. WOW. I just don’t want to deal with the sand all up in my stuff!

This is not for me.
However, the black sand beach with the black water was beautiful. That part was enjoyable. We rode around some more and found some of the colorful houses and palm trees on the beach.

Palm trees on the beach. I think they experience a “fall” season as well
Being cooler, not many people were out on the beach so it was good picture taking if you don’t like people in your pictures. Especially naked ones!

We’ll spend today out again and then tomorrow we’ll be cleaning, packing and getting ready to leave on Sunday.

Tenerife, Canary Islands. Our holiday home is in this mix!
It’s exciting to get to something new. We found an excursion in Morocco where we can ride camels on the beach. We cant wait!
May God bless you always.
