Since the weather is being a little cantankerous today I decided to document all the different words we are learning in comparison to the American English and British English language. Most of them make sense but may make some of us chuckle at the differences. While Spanish and French are a whole new language that needs to be learned, the British English can easily be picked up on because they make sense. Posted above are a few we have run across.
We have high wind advisories today and rain expected so we decided to stay in. We’ll read, play card games and as difficult as it may be we might even talk to each other some. Just kidding. We enjoy each others company and talk when necessary! We’ll see how the day goes! We did laundry yesterday knowing the weather wasn’t likely to be good today. We hang the laundry out on the line. They dry faster in comparison to the small clothes dryer we have indoors.
If anything exciting happens today, I’ll write about it in my next post. Usually when we have idle time, we get in trouble by buying something we don’t need or booking a cruise. Hopefully, since our schedule is full the next 24 months, we wont try to do that. It’s also not a good idea to get on Amazon’s U.K. site. Chuck needs a new iPad (yes, another one). His is dying a miserable death but we want to wait until we get to London. Hopefully it will last that long.
May God bless you always!
