Sunset at the Lighthouse, Exploring, New Passion

Corbiere Lighthosue

The clouds set in and although it wasn’t what I would consider the perfect sunset, the colors and the design that God chose were still beautiful. How can it not be. His work is majestic! We ventured out and walked all the way to the Corbiere lighthouse this time. It is very tidal here so if the tide were in, we wouldn’t have been able to walk to where we did. It was an amazing experience.

So peaceful, quiet, only hearing the water crash against the rocks and the seagulls talking to each other. It was an adventure getting over the rocks. Chuck takes the safer route while I want to climb but in some cases thought better of it. I want to keep this adventure going so no more sprained ankles for me!

Rocks all around the lighthouse made interesting shapes

We drove around the west side of the island and saw the area where the horse races are held. We will try to go see the next race in a couple of weeks. Hope we don’t loose our shirt! We also saw some remote control airplanes so we stopped to watch them flying for awhile.

Chuck met someone from Poland. He made the statement that it was difficult for him to get a visa into the U.S. Not sure when he tried but with all the stuff going on in our government right now, we weren’t surprised. And someone inevitably always asks us what we think about President Trump. We just make the comment that he could stay off twitter but that our economy is good so he must be doing something right!

Chuck said cut the water out of this and it looked like Arizona

It was much cooler and windy today but after walking around on the beach for a little while, I guess your body gets accustomed to the temperatures. It was in the high 60’s and people were out swimming in bikinis. Must not have been too bad.

We just paid our final payment on London so we are all set to go when we get there. It is actually located in Croydon, England but a train is close by that will take us to London and explore. It’s about a 30 minute ride. I have to get my list together of places to see. I haven’t been to London before. This will be a new adventure. Maybe the Queen will have us in for a spot of tea! We will be there for 40 days as well. We arrive in August.

Eurasian Oystercatcher – one of the many birds on the island

I found a new passion today that I can’t wait to learn and try once we settle down, however many years in the future that may be. It is Acrylic Fluid painting. I noticed the artwork in the home we are staying now and its beautiful. So, I googled Georgies

These unique rocks had one white one sitting on top

website http://www.georgiengphotography.uk and have literally spent hours drooling over all her artwork. Georgie does more than just photography. She’s a true artist and it shows in everything she does. I happened across some of her acrylic art which was a colander pour tabletop. Basically you pour the paint through a colander to get the desired effect.

Chuck trying to locate Guernsey (another island nearby)

Of course its no way that easy but that’s the short quick description. Its AMAZING and the technique has probably been around for years but I just found it so its NEW to me! I have been on Pintrest and YouTube most of the time when we are indoors. It’s the coolest thing and I can’t wait to try it someday. My mom could paint the most beautiful pieces of art so I’m hoping some of her creativity rubbed off on me. We shall see…. in a few years, of course.

May God bless you all!
