Great day for sailing!
Our cleaning lady, Miss Bentot came today to change the linen and do a little cleaning. I was so thankful! Merci Beaucoup a.k.a. Thank you very much! Her and Chuck communicating was so funny. Mostly gestures.

Many cars were plugged up. There are a multitude of “refill stations’ and they are free. Electric and very tiny cars are in abundance here.
She didn’t speak a lick of English and Chuck looked like a deer in the headlights! They both got their point across, mostly. Chuck pulled out google translate once and after three attempts to using the software, they were finally able to get the message across. She and I were laughing at Chuck trying to get google translate to work correctly.

You speak into it and it translates to the language you request such as French to English. Problem is Chuck had it on English so it wasn’t working because she was speaking french! He figured it out and they got it done.

Can’t park here unless your vehicle is electric!
We gave her a tip and thanked her for her time. She was very sweet. Last week she dropped by with her grand kids. She asked one of them (in french) if they knew any English and the little boy (about 8 years old) said “Goodbye”. It was too cute!
It rained all day yesterday so we vegged out reading and working on our computers all day. Chuck’s “pet” seagull dropped by. Every time he flies to the balcony, he cant seem to land on his feet. More times than not, he will miss the balcony and fall on the table. Its hilarious but makes one wonder if he’s just dumb or missed that day in class on how to land. He is our daily entertainment! This weekend, the weather will be in the high 70’s – 80’s so we are looking forward to spending more time outside.
We need to make our plans to Paris! We rode the metro around when we visited Paris a few years ago so I found the app again on my iPhone and we listed the top places we wanted to go back and see. I was able to find the metro lines on this app and plan our trip. It was pretty nice. It’ll cost us about 99 Euros for the train ride from here to Paris and about 2 hours. Once we get to Paris, we’ll switch over to the Metro train for about 15 Euros each for the day and be able to visit all the sites we want to see. I’m excited about going to explore Paris again and especially to see Notre Dame after the fire.

I just love the architecture here!
We’ll be sure to post pictures after that trip next week. In the meantime, if the weather will cooperate, we’ll do some more exploring of this quaint little town.
May God bless you all!
