Memories, Banalmadena beaches

Me & my Mom! 💝💝💝

Today would have been my mom’s 90th birthday. I really miss her. Never miss an opportunity to tell your parents how much you love them. You’ll miss those times when you can’t.

Beautiful Benalmadena beaches

Our apartment is actually on the 1st floor from the street level. From here, it is in the back and 5 floors up.

We decided to get out to the beach today. It’s across the street but to get there we have two choices, walk the long way around on more even ground or go up and down those 72 steps we talked about earlier.

Restaurant just downhill from the apartments. We need to try it.

We chose the long way around. It was only 1 mile but took us close to two hours to walk to the beach, take several breaks and take photos and return to the apartment.

The beach is rocky but has its own unique beauty. And I’m not talking about the topless women that were running around everywhere!

Chuck enjoying the view.

One thing we did notice was the ocean didn’t have that salty smell we were accustomed to in Florida or in the Caribbean. I guess the Mediterranean sea just smells different?

A restaurant is being built above these rocks. Should be an amazing view at dinner.

Families were on the beach playing football a.k.a. soccer and table tennis without the table. They were just using the paddles to hit the ball back and forth keeping it in the air.

My foot didn’t swell any more than it was already so tomorrow we will try to go downtown on the bus and check out some more of Spain.

May God bless you all!
